- Amadore
Created from parts of Calaveras and El
Dorado counties in the 1800's, Amador County is located in California's Sierra Nevada.
Cities include, Amador City, Jackson, Plymouth and Sutter Creek.
- Butte
Located in the
northern part of California's Sacramento Valley. Includes the
cities of Chico, Gridley, Oroville, Paradise and more
- Calaveras
One of the original counties, created
in 1850, Calaveras County is located in California's gold country. Cities include, Angels Camp, Avery, Rancho Calaveras and Valley Springs
- Inyo
Located south of Yosemite National Park
on the east side of Sierra Nevada, in east-central California. Cities include,Big Pine, Bishop, Independance and Pearsonville.
- Kern
Runs along the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada
range in the southern Central Valley area. Cities include,
Bakersfield, California City, Taft and Tehachapi.
- Kings
Located southeast of Fresno County
in the Central Valley area. Cities include, Kingsburg, Lemoore,
Armona and Stratford

One of the original counties at the time
of statehood. Located in the Central Valley north of Fresno.
Mariposa shares Yosemite National park with Tuolumne County.

Contains the southernmost part of Yosemite National Park. Located north of Fresno in the Central Valley. Cities include Madera, Chowchilla, Yosemite Lakes and Oakhurst.

Called the gateway to Yosemite, Merced is located in California's central valley north of Fresno
& southeast of San Jose. Some of it's cities include Merced, Atwater, Livingston and Winton.
- Mono
Located between Yosemite National Park and Nevada
east of the Sierra Nevada. Cities include, Bridgeposrt and Mammoth Lakes.
- Napa
Famous for it's wine industry, Napa is located
northeast of the San Francisco Bay Area. Cities include, Calistoga,
Napa, Deer Park and St. Helena
- Nevada
Known as the Mother Lode country. Nevada County is located
in California's Sierra Nevada. Cities include, Nevada City, Truckee, Grass Valley and Alta Sierra.
- San Luis Obispo
Located between Los Angeles and the Bay area
on the central Pacific coast. Cities include, Morro Bay, Oceano,
Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo.

Situated in California's Sierra Nevada.
Yosemite National Park is located in the eastern part of the
county. Cities include, Tuolumne City, Jamestoen, Sonora and Mono Vista
